October 28, 2011 13 Nights of Hallowe'en 2011: Night 10 The Crazies (2010)
At the centre of The Crazies (2010) are the Sheriff played by Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell as his wife. Timothy was in Scream 2 (1997). Meanwhile, Radha has been in Pitch Black (2000), Visitors (2003), Silent Hill (2006)--yeah!--Rogue (2007), and
will be back for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (2012). Joe Anderson was in Creep (2004)--sounds interesting--and The Ruins (2008). Danielle Panabaker was in Friday the 13th (2009)--Sunday's remake--John Carpenter's The Ward (2010), and will be in Piranha 3DD (2012). Christie Lynn Smith was in an episode of Threshold (2005), and in The Cursed (2010), which is not the Wes Craven movie of the almost same name. Brett Rickaby was in an episode of Angel (1999) in 2000, Wes Craven's Cursed (2005), and Bereavement (2010). Young one, Preston Bailey, was in Amusement (2008), and was Issac in the TV remake Children of the Corn (2009). John Aylward was one of the regular cast of The Others (2000) TV series--see the tag below--and an episode of The X Files (1993) in 2002. Joe Reegan is credited simply as "Boy" in Jeepers Creepers II (2003), and was in Vacancy 2: The First Cut (2008).
The very recognisable Glenn Morshower is mostly a TV actor with episodes of interest such as The X Files and Millenium (1996) both in 1998, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) in 2002. Glenn has been in movies such as Transformers (2007) and all of the
sequels so far, and X-Men: First Class (2011). Larry Cedar was in Dreamscape (1984), C.H.U.D. II - Bud the Chud (1989), Demonic Toys (1992), Pinocchio's Revenge (1996), and an episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008) in 2009. Gregory Sporleder was in a handful of True Blood (2008) episodes in 2010. Lisa K. Wyatt was in an episode of FreakyLinks (2001)--why oh why is there no DVD release!!!--Donnie Darko (2001), and The Box (2009). Last for the actors is Justin Welborn. Justin was in Dance of the Dead (2008), Halloween II (2009), the fourth in the series The Final Destination (2009), and stars in Pelt (2010)--not certain if it's worth a check.
The screenwriters for The Crazies are Scott Kosar from Night 3 and Ray Wright with credit for Pulse (2006)--with Jonathan Tucker (also Night 3) in it--and Case 39 (2010). Then comes the director, Breck Eisner with one other horror credit thus far, the episode The Sacrifice from Fear Itself (2008). Breck is obviously someone to keep an eye. Happy Friday.
