Is Main Street a Haven For Paranormal Activity?
  • Of particular interest is the "A hotbed of spiritual activity" section, which could be a good primer for where to set your most haunted locations. It speaks, without naming it, of Stone Tape Theory, and perhaps unwittingly includes that locations conducive to creating haunting events also make people more receptive to perceiving the phenomena. Put simply a place that is good for a residual haunting also makes witness more aware of the haunting. This would not necessarily have to be true. Places that are more haunted could have no effect on the witnesses. They do not need to be more aware of sensations like feeling someone is behind you. Or set into a mood to look around more. However, this article suggests both situations do occur in the same places. This would be contrasted to if there were places with stronger hauntings that appear on video, but people are no more likely to notice a ghost behind them.
