X-Men

X-Men is a live action movie based off of the comic book of the same name from Marvel.  Counted among the X-men this time out are Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue and of course Professor Xavier.  The movie starts with the arrival of Wolverine and Rogue.  The plot is a major face off versus the X-Men's archrival Magneto.  Magneto believes that mutants are better than humans and wishes to prevent the fearful and jealous normals from passing a law that will require all mutants to be registered so that people can know who and what they are.  With the help of his minions Mystique, Sabretooth, and Toad, Magneto plots to make the lobbyists for registration to change their mind or else.  Only the X-Men can stop him.

This movie is pretty true to the comics.  Wolverine is at his earliest stage and doesn't know anything about a large chunk of his past yet.  Cyclops, Storm and Jean as the same as always.  The big difference comes with Rogue who is still just a teen and doesn't have any of her greater powers.  It has great special effects, and moves along well.  It's not a super mega-movie for anyone familiar with the comics but it was certainly worth the time and money for a rental.  The acting is acceptable, nothing special.  There was some less than stellar dialogue as some other have pointed out.  All in all it's a good movie.
