Welcome to Bob's Movie Reviews for
Horror Movies,

Strangeland
Strangeland is a new horror/thriller from what some might consider an odd source.
Most will find it makes sense though. A heavy metal musician, Dee Snider, former
front man for the 80's band Twisted Sister, wrote and starred in Strangeland.
Strangeland is about a man who follows the path of Neo-Primitivism and
wants to share his knowledge and foresight with less fortunate people.
The Neo-Primitive movement involves tribal scarring, painting, and body
piercing. Using the internet the villain draws in young people to
his world and inducts them into the movement against their will.
Strangeland is a wonderful new addition to the landscape of the slasher
film/mass murder sub-genre. Without giving away plot, this description is both
correct and incorrect. It has all of the ear marks of the sub-genre, but there are
only two people who die. The villain, Captain Howdy, is one of the best to
come along since the horror man of your dreams (who's actor also happens to be in
the film). Captain Howdy is intelligent, articulate, and totally
psychotic. Strangeland is disturbing and brilliantly executed.
