When Companies Become Countries
- This article presents an interesting idea suitable for the near
future as outlined or the far future to consider existing countries taken over by a company or
super-conglomerate, or as a circumstance on spaceships, space stations, and alien planets. Alternate
histories are another possibility considering Walt Disney's plan for Epcot as a city. There are pitfalls as
stated in the article and the old idea of the Company Store from American history is it's own valid idea to
run with. Consider also the creation or re-creation of an area like in Qatar.
