Every year has something to say about it. Every year is its own beast. This year was no different. Recently of course we had the big move away from Blogger.com. There have been some bumps, like the still inoperable commenting. It seems like it was a fairly quiet year in many ways too. That is a bit of a matter of perspective, with one key piece of information missing in the every day hustle and bustle I've thrust myself into across the breadth of Battered Spleen Productions. Many posts, especially the ones with multiple parts fit in nicely with the Anatomy of A Horror Setting series--check out that tag below if you have never heard of it before, or want a refresher.
It was a good year for role-playing game discussions too. That is even without a highlight like the interview and posts surrounding David A. Hill Jr. of Machine Age Productions, makers of games such as Maschine Zeit and their new game Amaranthine, which I was helping promote because I very excited by the premise and Maschine Zeit was such a knock out. You might not have known, or forgotten the tiny little mention, but the Josh posts for On Dark Rhoads also fit in the RPG vein. The game that belongs to is This Mental Eventide , but more on that next year.
That said, like years previous it's time to wish everyone a Happy December/Kwanzaa/Hanukkah/Solstice/Yule or a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Stay safe. See you in 2012! Can you believe it? 2012!
