Alive and Well - Quiet Riot

Quiet Riot is back with their 7th North American release, Alive and Well.  Alive and Well is a return for the Quiet Riot guys to their hard rock roots.  As an added bonus this CD includes six remixes of old favorites and hits from their most famous albums.

Alive and Well is not my favorite Quiet Riot album, nor is it at the bottom of the list.  As a big fan of the band this album is a refreshing return to the music that I grew up to.  It is hard with fast paced songs and lyrics that speak (in this case) to the working man, real, normal, "adult" people.  The band has grown up along with their music and now write for a similar audience.  Quiet Riot has joined us in the nineties and I for one will be looking forward to them in the next century.

The remixes have the same grown up feel as the rest of the album and take some different paths than the original.  As special note, the remix of "Don't Wanna Let You Go" is excellent and presents the song as an acoustic version.  Also, their biggest hit "Wild and the Young" has a great new sound.
