Bag of Bones - Stephen King
Bag of Bones is a new paperback book from Stephen King (1999). It
is to some degree a haunted house story, but as with King's other masterpieces
nothing is straightforward. It is written in the first person, and
follows the same sort of writing style that has come out in his newer books
such as "Insomnia" or "Rose Madder"
Bag of Bones is one of those books that moves slowly but surely, much like
a roller coaster climbing a large incline until it reaches the top and
then rockets down gaining speed for each twist and turn.
A lot of people have said how different this book is from all of his others,
but in my opinion, these people haven't read any of King's books in the
nineties. There is a different feel to this newest batch of books
but it is not debuted in Bag of Bones.
All in all this is an excellent book, particularly if you liked "Insomnia",
"Rose Madder" or "Desperation".
